A guy writes a song about the love of his life when he was younger, but now he has changed and grown up and he hadn't seen her in a couple years - she hears the song and instantly knows it’s about her and she had been in love with him her whole life, while he had been famous and when they were best friends, she is so happy but the next day she sees a thing that says he and another girl are dating. She gets mad and decides she was going to get back at him for unintentionally breaking her heart. She decides she’s going to become famous - she succeeds and her manager thought it’d be a good idea for her to be hosting an awards show with boy’s girlfriend. Boy comes to visit her and gets a rude awakening when his beautiful, now much different looking childhood crush is standing next to his girlfriend.

Guy broke up with his girlfriend because he had seen her trying to get his best friends number. After asking his friend what that was about he told him that she was trying to hook up with him and kissed him the previous night before. Guy was broken, so he dumped her. 2 more years later...this ex couple is back in town and they are both invited to a party her mother is throwing.
